Your Time to Shine...

I woke up this morning singing WAKA WAKA to myself. I'm taken back FOUR years to South Africa TWENTYTEN! The greatest party of my life (so far...). For however long the WC lasts (a bit of a blur to be honest!) we partied, showed football fans around the glorious Cape Town, danced, facepainted and honestly just had an outright BLAST! 

Now I wouldn't peg myself as a football fanatic. I do however have a healthy interest in the game. For example I'll be the first to remind you that Newcastle United (ooooooh the Toon gets all my love!) beat Liverpool in the first half of their last encounter. I also always automatically dismiss any Man U fan - sorry it's not you, it's me. But the World Cup is different, a real patriotic streak emerges from people (except for us saffa's, "who to support, who to support, anyone but Uruguay...").  It's wonderful to watch the games unfold and rub shoulders with people from all over the world in some random German/Irish pub (or whatever takes your fancy!).

So with that I'll leave you with the great 2010 song, I cannot wait to see what Brazil (or Brasil as some would say...) has to offer. It's your time to shine...
